hi! i'm ddmlatte!

i'm a

  • game developer
  • programmer
  • artist
  • music composer
  • math enthusiast
  • site builder (apparently)

i've started making games in 2018 and it's been a lovely hobby since! i'm currently developing project pixel, a co-op optional level editing game where you can build, play and share levels online

stuff i like

  • music:
i'm a huge fan of jamie paige's (the goat). stomach book, miracle musical, will wood, penelope scott and bo burnham are really cool too and i definitely recommend them

  • games:
i grew up with undertale, so it's up there for me. also really liked playing deltarune, oneshot, off, geometry dash, hollow knight, silksong, peak, battleblock theater, team fortress 2, celeste, bittrip. runner, lethal company, super mario maker, and others

obviously my own games too but i'm trying to not yap about "the yellow run" too much, alright

  • movies & shows:
as far as movies go, american psycho is one of my favorites. as for shows, i really enjoyed adventure time, the sopranos and gravity falls.

i also loved watching fuelled, it was pretty much the first time i just kinda stared at my screen after watching something and it lived rent free in my mind for weeks after watching it like holy damn.

my creations

  • project pixel:
project pixel is an online level-editor game where you can build, play and share stages. i was really inspired by games like geometry dash, super mario maker, littlebigplanet and battleblock theater. in pixel, you can create with others online, play levels with phantom players, venture through the story mode and more

(lowkey over here thinking nobody gonna play this🙏🙏🙏)

  • aseprite audio extension:
aseprite audio extension is a tool that adds audio support to aseprite. it's my most known project and i'm quite proud of it! it's taught me how to converse with people, handle issues and helped me look at different ways to solve problems in programming. it's also the online project i've received donations from, and these directly helped fund other projects, so an honest thank you to everyone who has donated :)

(shoutout to vamuse for recommending the extension and having it immediately crash after doing so🥲)

  • cathook:
cathook was/is possibly my most ambitious project, and i love it dearly for that. it's been quite the journey to plan and has led me to discover SO much stuff like hot zamn i didn't know the world was this complicated. although it's been in hiatus for quite a long time now, and although i think of something for it every now and then, i'm mostly focusing on pixel now.

(sun gonna engulf the earth before cathook is finished🔥🔥🔥)

  • no time to jump:
the far less ambitious no time to jump is a rage platformer; not much to say about it. i made it a long time ago but i still think it's a cool play. definitely rough around the edges and i absolutely don't think it is one of the best platformers, but it holds a special place in my stone cold heart

(that is, until i play it again and remember how utterly frustrating it is💔)

  • glowtown 1 & glowtown 2: (music only)
    at last! my collaborations!
the glowtown(s) is(are) a game(s) where(s) you(s) are(s) a ghost(s). as a ghost, your job is to scare every citizen of the map, but do be scared yourself! as there's a time limit for you to scare everyone. after the deed is done, you must navigate to the ghost house and slumber once more.

(i hope my poetic explanation of this game serviced it well)

i didn't make glowtown 1 or 2 alone, in fact, i barely worked on it at all❤️‍🔥
i made some music for both games, and you can check them out here.
